FIM Capital Harbour 2 Harbour Sponsored Walk opens for registration

FIM Capital Harbour 2 Harbour Sponsored Walk

Online registrations are now open for the upcoming sponsored Harbour 2 Harbour Walk, which will take place on Sunday 5th May. SPort Erin are pleased to be working with FIM Capital who are sole sponsors for both this and next year’s events.

FIM Capital were joint sponsors of the walk in 2023, and this multi-year partnership has enabled the SPort Erin charity – established in 2007 by Southern Nomads RUFC rugby club – to continue in its mission to provide recreational facilities for the island’s Southern community, particularly for the younger generation.

Dave Parkes, committee member of SPort Erin commented: “It is wonderful to be supported by FIM Capital for the Harbour 2 Harbour Walk.  The association with such a well-known and successful Isle of Man business allows us to further elevate the profile and recognition of this event as a key fixture in the local calendar, and we appreciate the involvement of the FIM Capital team in helping to support both this and other events over the years.”

Paul Keen, Head of Business Development at FIM Capital commented “We are pleased to once again support this much-loved community event and the incredible work that the SPort Erin charity undertakes.  By becoming sole sponsors of the 2024 and 2025 events we hope that this provides the platform for the Harbour 2 Harbour walk to continue to flourish over the coming years.”

SPort Erin has worked with the Harbour 2 Harbour Walk since its inception in 2014, and this relationship has played a significant part in the fundraising efforts of the charity ever since. The funds raised this year will allow for further investment in the equipment used in SPort Erin youth coaching sessions.

After many years of supporting the Harbour 2 Harbour Walk, in 2022, Southern Nomads assumed the responsibility for the organisation of the event, demonstrating its close relationship with the entire community of the South of the Isle of Man.  This event typically sees 400+ people walk the route which, this year, commences in Port Erin and follows a route along the coast to Port St Mary, finishing in Castletown Square.

Both the charity and the rugby club wish all the walkers taking part a great day, and hope to see this annual event continue to grow and thrive for many years to come.  So, whether you are training for the parish walk or simply fancy a social walk with friends, registrations are now open.
